Our lavish centerpiece arrangement creates a dazzling display for a season of celebrating. We wanted one of our floral arrangements to lean into a dressier, more formal feel instead of the usual red and green design. White astilbe softened the look, and a bit of gold on the greenery and a few small ornaments gave it the polish we were after.

Lavish is the most formal of our Christmas centerpieces, so here's what's actually in it, why it only comes in two sizes, and when it can arrive.

Roses and Gold in This Christmas Flower Design: Roses and mini roses mix with white astilbe and Christmas greenery, all of it tinted gold in places and finished with a handful of shimmering ornaments. The astilbe adds a lighter, airier texture that a rose-only christmas flower design doesn't have on its own.

Red and Green Christmas Arrangements, Warmed Up With Gold: Red roses and green Christmas greenery form the base, with the white astilbe and gold ornament accents keeping it from looking like a plain red-and-green arrangement. Prefer it without the gold tones? Our designers can tone that down and lean into a more traditional red and green look instead.

Just Two Sizes: Small and Large: Unlike most of our centerpieces, this one skips the middle tier and goes straight from Small to Large. Small works for a smaller table or a quieter gathering, while Large is built for a table that needs a bigger, more formal presence.

For the Dressiest Holiday Table in the House: This one fits a formal Christmas dinner, a holiday party, or any table where you want the christmas decor to feel a little more special than usual. It also makes a strong hostess gift for someone who appreciates a more polished look over a casual one.

If a Bloom Runs Short: White astilbe in particular can be harder to source some weeks than roses are. If we need to substitute, our designers pick something with the same airy texture and keep the gold accents untouched.

Getting These Floral Arrangements There Intact: Miss it, or live somewhere outside our regular reach, and our network of florists nationwide finishes the delivery so the gold accents still arrive intact.

• Fresh water as soon as the flowers arrive helps the roses and astilbe hold up longest, so don't wait to unwrap it.
• Keep it out of direct sun and refresh the water every couple of days.

• Our designers may substitute stems of equal or greater value to guarantee freshness and fullness; the overall look and color palette of the design is always preserved.

Can I keep the gold ornaments after the flowers are done?

Yes, they're meant to be kept. Plenty of customers save them for the Christmas tree the following year or tuck them into a future arrangement, so they don't have to go in the trash with the stems.

Is the white astilbe delicate compared to the roses?

It's airier and a little more delicate-looking, yes, but our designers reinforce the stems so it holds up for the same roughly week-long window as the roses. It won't outlast the rest of the arrangement by much either way.
