Linda Karatzas has spent more than forty years in the flower business. She and her husband George ran Commack Florist for twenty years before buying James Cress Florist in 2021, and she now co-owns the company with him.
As Director of Operations she runs the daily rhythm of the shops: staffing, ordering, production schedules and the delivery day. As Director of Product Research and Design she leads what customers actually receive, researching flowers, containers, ribbons and gift items, testing how designs hold up in transit and setting the recipes the designers follow so an arrangement looks the way it does on the website.
Her articles cover the design side of flowers: color, seasonal blooms, arrangement styles and the gifts that pair well with them.
